Have you lived with a curve in your spine?
If so, how has it felt, how does it feel now?
Maybe you just found out you’ve got a curved spine or “Scoliosis.” Maybe you don’t know what this means or how to remedy it. Maybe you’re perfectly fine with this new diagnosis, but want to know more about how to limit the effects of living with a curved spine.
In the workshop, Yoga for Scoliosis and Body Centered Awareness, you will gain a better understanding of your body, inside and out, connect consciously with your breath to improve alignment of your spine and “body awareness,” and learn how to lengthen the spine and adjust yoga poses to your unique body and spinal shape.
This workshop is designed for all levels and is appropriate for ages 16 +, though will be focused on the very beginning stages of Yoga for people with Scoliosis. (Children under the age of 16 years must be accompanied by an adult who takes the class with them).
Join me on Monday, March 13th from 5:30-7pm to explore this helpful and soothing practice which involves mindfulness meditation, experiential breathing, light yoga stretches and poses, “wall yoga,” and group sharing.
